Power-To-Train

A Masterclass in Designing and Delivering Learning That Truly Lands

Most workshops focus on content. This one focuses on both the learner and the presenter. Because effective facilitation is not just about what is taught—but how it is designed, delivered, and embodied.

If you’ve ever felt that your sessions could engage more deeply or land more clearly, this workshop helps you understand why—and what to do about it.

What Participants say

I have attended many training courses and Yen Kai’s approach to training was truly refreshing and I simply loved the Impact after 3 days of training. He truly demonstrated WHAT GREAT impactful session can look like and feel like.

Betty Julian Tan

Yen Kai was very engaging and knowledgeable, and highly skilful in facilitation. What I found most helpful was that we got to experience the effects of the various techniques first before learning what they were.

Tang Bek Wuay, PhD, Psyched4Work

The most valuable takeaway has got to be the customised feedback provided after our practical sessions. Yen Kai provides feedback on AFIs that, very often, are our blind spots in conducting a session. This workshop is truly a masterclass!

Zul, Lecturer, TP

It helped me see that powerful training starts with how I set the room, guide attention and shape the learning experience.

The exercises were clear, the energy was high and the tools were easy to use in real situations.

Ho Eng Lee, Branch Director, AscenXio.sg [PIAS]

Yen Kai effectively demonstrated the facilitation design and techniques he was training, while customising the workshop to meet the learners’ needs. As a trainer, he displayed range when engaging with learners of different profiles and also gave us feedback on how we can manage ourselves better as trainers.

Melissa Sim, L&D Specialist

He has tremendous range, builds safety in the room effortlessly, and gets people to contribute in new and unique ways. Most importantly, he gives you a fantastic template to base yourself off as a trainer. His workshop behaviour, design, and techniques are all intentional. Nothing is left to chance, but the magic is you don’t see it.

Imram Khan, Principal, SignPost

it will greatly leapfrog my own training and facilitation skills. He has helped me see the world of training and facilitation through a new perspective and I am keen to learn more of the know-hows.

Irene Lim, CCXP
AVP Customer Relations, The Ascott Limited

hank you Yen Kai! This workshop is really a masterclass I’m learning so much more compared to previous courses I had with you.

I appreciate your sincerity in wanting to help me improve my craft!.

Macarios, Outdoor Educator, UWC

This three-day is a firehose of new learnings, yet it feels like a fun offsite with a lovely newsgroup of friends. Every aspect is thoughtfully crafted and adapted to provide relevant insights, observation, and practice.

September Run – A Charity Initiative

This September run of Power-To-Train is organised as a charity initiative. All proceeds will be donated to Ground-Up Initiative (GUI).

GUI is a space that brings people together to learn, reconnect, and rebuild—through community, sustainability, and experiential learning. It reaches individuals in ways that many formal systems do not.

This initiative is a small way of supporting their continued work, especially following their recent relocation and the financial strain that came with it.

If this resonates with you, we invite you to be part of this run—not just as a participant, but as a contributor to something larger.
