Comments from our Past Participants

Yen Kai teaches by providing examples through demonstrations, right from the start. What left a strong impression on me was how Yen Kai framed each activity with intention and clarity. To me, his style felt light and casual, yet I realised that every interaction and activity was meticulously planned to engage us in hands-on training. This workshop really got me to reflect on what I had learned nefore and pushed me to review what I could do more effectively

~ Norce Putri, Founder LinvingbyDesign.SG

Attending Yen Kai’s Power to Train workshop was a transformative experience. From the moment he stepped on stage, I was captivated by his energy and passion. He kept us constantly engaged and challenged, pushing us to our limits in the most positive way. One of the most valuable takeaways for me was Yen Kai’s humility. He openly shared his journey to becoming a great trainer, emphasizing the importance of consistent practice and continuous improvement. He even spotted areas where I could improve my own training skills, providing me with invaluable feedback and guidance.

The three days I spent in Yen Kai’s workshop were an investment in my professional development that I will cherish for years to come. I highly recommend his workshop to any trainer who is serious about taking their skills to the next level. If you’re looking for an inspiring, engaging, and transformative training experience, I encourage you to attend Yen Kai’s Power to Train workshop. It will be a little tiring as there are loads of stuffs; but you won’t be disappointed.

~ Keith Cheung, Associate Adult Educator

A masterful facilitation can truly unlock the magic of human learning

Under Yen Kai Lye’s excellent guidance, I’ve gained so much clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of what it takes to facilitate learning with high impact. This was truly one of the most transformative trainings I’ve ever attended!

I’m incredibly grateful for this experience and excited to put the insights and skills I’ve learned into practice because transformation only becomes permanent through actions.

~ Sharon Lau, Principal Lecturer & Consultant, Digital Strategy & Leadership Practice, NUS ISS

Yen Kai’s delivery was structured without feeling overly prescriptive, allowing room for interaction and practical exercises that reinforced key learning points.

His emphasis on framing to engage participants and address challenging behaviours was particularly impactful. I left with new insights and ready-to-implement tools that I’m confident will boost my facilitation skills.

How do I know that this workshop is for me?

This workshop is designed for trainers and facilitators who want to increase the engagement and impact of their session.

If you are very new to the delivery of workshops, this workshop can be overwhelming for you.

This workshop suits trainers and facilitators with at least 2-3 years of stand-up delivery experience to very experienced trainers and facilitators.

What is the format of learning?

Day 1 of the programme is dedicated to experiencing key pieces of the workshop where you will be participants while our trainer role models all the skills and concepts.

Day 2 and Day 3 allow each participant to integrate skills and concepts covered into their workshop delivery. These two days are also more emergent, skills and contents covered depend on what would be relevant and useful.

What do others said about the workshop?

"If facilitation doesn’t come naturally to you, attend Power-To-Train as it is codified common sense. Even for seasoned practitioners, it provides a framework to easily describe and teach your skills to others, multiplying the impact you can make."

Xinyi - UX Designer

"A must-have to go through if facilitators want to bring their facilitation to the next level. Perhaps a little too advanced for new/less seasoned trainers."

"Techniques that can be used in facilitating a workshop/training. Understanding the various frameworks that can be adopted in the planning and preparation of the workshop, while also learning to deal with the emergent during the facilitation itself."

What about the trainer?

"Yen Kai is very very skilled and experienced at what he do. I really enjoyed the teaching style where he gave us enough resources to do our own presentations then provide us feedback and teachings after. It made something really difficult to understand more manageable. Yen Kai also observes and listens actively to provide us targeted feedback, ensuring that we're still with him throughout the class. He is also really funny :) and patient. I've never met a trainer like him and would love to attend his other workshops too!"

Jing Xuan, Woodlandshealth Pte Ltd

"My key takeaway from Yen Kai was experiencing how he used himself as a tool, involving the learners, showing us instead of telling us. He also created great buy-in for us to learn the various content, and treated us as fully capable learners."

Pearl Tong Sian Choo, Ontological Life Coach, Emcee
